In his monotypes, Printed Unikats, created in 1992-94, Bernd Wolf deals for the first time with overcoming duality. By a process of mutual imprinting and fertilization, the paintings themselves simultaneously become an amalgam of printing block and image carrier. The color level consists of a multi-layered, haptic color vibration. The works are mostly divided in two parts, but the divide is not insurmountable as they carry a moment of reconciliation within them. Always with the same height, the widths of the formats vary (125 x 90-120) to increase their color dynamic.
